Depending on your need, we may begin with the systems and environments that we find ourselves in. What isn’t working? Where are you feeling misunderstood or challenged? We create systems together to support our existence in those systems. Sometimes we need accommodations or specific tools.
Then we make minor adjustments and work towards understanding and accepting ourselves embedded within systems that were not necessarily designed with our learning style in mind.
How do you work?
I have been a special educator since 2013. I have worked in public schools, independent schools, and had a private practice serving ages 5 through adult. I carry a masters in Special Education and a certificate in Educational Therapy. Over the years, I have attended many trainings in mindfulness education as well as sensory integration practices.
What is your training?
“Educational therapy is a specialized, holistic approach designed to help children and adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, academic, and organizational challenges build foundational skills, self-confidence, and independence. Unlike tutoring, which focuses on subject content, educational therapists address underlying cognitive, social, and emotional barriers to learning, providing personalized strategies for academic and personal success.”
